Applicants should (i) have a Master's degree or above in architecture, urban planning, sustainable development or other related discipline;
ii) have good research ability with solid work experience in performance-based simulation techniques of green building development and sustainable urban design and planning, housing studies, aging studies, or gender studies;
iii) have at least one year's work experience in related fields; (iv) be highly motivated, committed and can work independently;
v) have an enthusiastic work attitude and the ability to multitask and work under pressure; (vi) have good communication, teamwork and problem solving skills;
vii) have good technical writing skill in both English and Chinese; (viii) have good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and etc.
and (ix) have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
The appointee will assist in research proposal writing, implementation on integrated teaching and research methodology for MSc Advanced Environmental Planning Technologies and MSSc Housing Studies Programmes.
The working hours might be shifted to evening or weekend to fulfill the time requirement of events and activities. Duties include (a) providing administrative and logistic support for organizing events, student activities and academic visits, as well as documentation work;
b) providing frontline services and daily office operational support; (c) assisting in the preparation of course materials;
d) assisting in the preparation of research proposal; and (e) performing other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
