The HKUST MBA Program is searching for a capable and dynamic candidate to fill the position of Manager in the MBA Programs.

The appointee will lead a small team to oversee one of the assigned MBA programs, engage students, drive and deliver new learning opportunities.

He / She will focus on the following areas :

  • Program and Student Management : oversee the operation of one of the assigned MBA programs to ensure quality and efficient operation.
  • The candidate should be able to think strategically and implement plans effectively; capable of streamlining processes and drawing valid judgements, and upholding academic policies when necessary.

    Capability in supervising and coaching a small team of staff to ensure efficiency is a must.

  • Student Engagement and Building of Culture : engage students from different professions effectively to draw insights on market trends and knowledge needs, provide advice to students on the study to enhance their leadership, knowledge and competitiveness in the market.
  • Plan and lead the implementation of student engagement and communication to ensure a professional and supportive student culture, and a high quality pool of graduates after program completion.

  • Budget : oversee and monitor the relevant teams’ budget and spending.
  • New Initiatives and Ad-hoc Projects : drive new initiatives that help to create value for the MBA programs; demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks according to seasonal or new development needs.
  • Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree, with at least 7 years of work experience. The ideal candidate should be proactive, ethical and efficient in problem-solving;
  • able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; and hands-on at work. He / She must be able to lead and coach a small team to drive results with high efficiency.

    Prior experience in global higher education, talents management, professional engagement and project planning is preferred.

    An excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin) is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM is required.

    Working outside office hours including occasional weekends will be expected. (Duration : 2 years, renewable)

    Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.

    A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
