Job Summary :
The Proposition Strategy team is responsible for instilling new growth momentum by developing innovative and personalized General Insurance (GI) products (including all P&C and medical products), generating new strategic partnership / business ideas, and creating new value propositions for our customers.
The team is responsible for the design, development, and management of GI products in line with business strategy, risk appetite and profitability goals.
Product development might also be undertaken with our partners, who offer new ways to engage with customers and a fresh focus to customer experience.
Job Accountabilities :
Product Development : Assist the team head in managing the full product development lifecycle including market research, product ideation, business case development, defining unique sales & market proposition, selection of distribution partners, go-to-market pricing, profit & loss analysis, product and marketing materials production, etc.
Stakeholder Management : Assume the role of A&H product manager and work closely with key internal stakeholders, including Distribution, Underwriting, Pricing, Operations / IT, Legal, Compliance and Claims, to ensure new products are launched in a timely manner.
Monitor the progress of the product launch and communicate with all relevant stakeholders regarding the timeline and expectations.
Product Strategy : Assist the team head in identifying target market segments and developing business and product strategies, building sound business case of all new A&H products, which includes defining unique value propositions, identifying target customer segments and distribution partners, conducting opportunity sizing and P&L analysis, etc.
Market Research & Analysis : Analyze A&H market trends and competitors’ product strategies; benchmark competitors’ product features, pricing, marketing / promotion campaigns;
identify partnership opportunities, and understand customer feedbacks, etc to ensure our product offerings are competitive and creating lasting values for our clients.
Product Ideation : Collaborate with internal and external parties to co-create new product / service concepts that align with our GI / A&H strategy;
develop customized products for our partners that fit well into their value chains or customer journeys / episodes; initiate new product ideas and manage the requirements to create new product with strong value proposition.
Product Governance : Regularly reviewing existing individual A&H product performance and take remedial actions with relevant stakeholders;
prepare presentation materials to seek product approvals from Product Committee; plan and conduct product training to internal stakeholders, distribution, call center team, etc.
to facilitate understanding of product knowledge for sales and service.
Job Qualifications :
University degree with 5 - 8 years of work experience in A&H business
Experience in Product Management / Development, particularly in launching new insurance products
Understanding of local Accident & Health business and good insights on business and product strategy
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to be highly collaborative and execute effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization
Strong business acumen, result-oriented, innovative thinking and strong team players comfortable with sharing new ideas
Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-pace environment. Able to manage multiple workstreams under a tight timeframe.
Have a growth mindset, passion for driving changes and willing to challenge status-quo to develop unique customer propositions and deliver exceptional customer experience.
Knowledge of sales & marketing, emerging / digital technologies, customer experience design, data analytics, is a plus
