The Atmospheric Chemistry group in HKUST focuses on the two major regional air pollution problems in many developed and developing regions, i.
e., photochemical smog and haze. The research is to understand the complicated air pollution matrix via field monitoring, lab experiment, and modeling approaches, and conduct cutting-edge fundamental research on atmospheric chemistry.
Collaborated with many international institutes and the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department, the group is working on various research projects, including ship-borne air quality measurement, oxygenated VOCs characterization, O3 and SOA formation, etc.

and assist in planning and implementing all aspects of research, coordinating with government officers and collaborators.
Applicants should have a good honors bachelor’s degree in environmental science and engineering, environmental chemistry, atmospheric sciences and chemistry, or related discipline, with relevant research work experience.
They should also have strong analytical skills, good interpersonal and communication skills; be highly motivated, committed and can work independently.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese will be required. (Duration : 1 year, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
