Who we're looking for

gini is looking for an experienced and organised person with an operations and finance background for a part-time Operations Manager position.

What you will be doing

  • As head of operations, you will be responsible for helping to scale business operations while we grow, and make sure everything day to day runs smoothly, help management team anticipate issues before they arise, and making sure stakeholders have all the information they need to
  • make good decisions :

  • Finance (Operational) : ensuring bills are paid on time, invoices are issued and payment collected, managing an outsourced accountant and bookkeeper, manage software (Xero, etc), departmental audits and tracking of major systems including Amazon Web Services, managing employee Expense Claims, managing Payroll, government filings, claiming back government grant credits
  • Finance (Management) : monitoring cash burn and budgets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the board and C-level team, making forecasts and projections
  • Governance : Assist Founders in maintaining and improving board relations and governance
  • Legal : working with lawyers to ensure contracts are optimal and in place with employees, contractors, suppliers and customers.
  • Ensuring the business meets all its regulatory requirements (e.g. PDPO, Employees Compensation, etc), and has necessary insurance in place (professional indemnity)

  • HR : managing recruitment process, development, compensation and retention schemes, and generally ensuring the team functions effectively
  • Office and Equipment : ensuring the team has adequate facilities, equipment, including computers and software
  • Management : Manage an Operations Executive to help you accomplish tasks.
  • Who you are

  • Open to Part time
  • 5+ years’ experience in business operations
  • Highly organised and analytical, able to recommend actions to C suite and Founders
  • Experience in managing teams a plus
  • Experience in a high growth consumer oriented startup a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural background
  • A start-up attitude highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that’s not afraid to work independently when required
