Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses.
In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.
You will :
Lead and supervise the gardening team in daily operations
Manage the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds with agreed work practices
Follow the agreed annual work schedule that accounts for the four seasons and inclement weather
Carry out risk assessments on all activities to ensure safety of all operators, staff, members and guests
Effectively deploy staff resources and job allocation in a responsible, fair and efficient manner
Manage work progress of the internal gardening team and the external contractors
Provide training and development to the gardening team in areas of general horticulture, safety and machinery maintenance
Conduct annual appraisals for the gardening team
Ensure work equipment in good condition through well-managed maintenance, repair, and follow-up work orders
Maintain storage and secure records of materials including flammable and hazardous items in accordance to agreed safety standards
Build and maintain a strong sense of communication and teamwork within the gardening team, supervisors and management
You should have :
2 years or above of work experience in supervisory roles related to gardening
Experienced in tree trimming, grass cutting, and pruning hedges and shrubs
Possess strong knowledge in planting and seasonal flowing plants and shrubs
Strong communication and team working skills
Good written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese)
