Job Purpose (Job Summary) :
The Manager of Fund Services, China, Hong Kong & South East Asia, is responsible for leading Invesco’s Fund Services professionals in pursuit of delivering a superior investment experience to external clients and internal business partners.
The incumbent will have broad responsibility for executing strategy, team building and development, new business capability development, continuous improvement, and world class execution that drives a robust experience (for our external clients and internal business partners).
He / She will work closely with Invesco’s investment, technology, product line management, client relationships, and corporate functions (e.
g., compliance and legal). The incumbent will be a collaborative key member who can to drive the development of a vision for what great could look like for our clients (internally and externally).
Working at the intersection of business and technology is paramount as is the ability to deliver results by working together with global colleagues and teams.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
Manage and oversight of 3rd party service providers, including fund administrators, transfer agency, trustee & custody by acting as a key management contact point
Building and maintaining powerful coalitions with 3rd party service providers to drive and deliver innovative business solutions
Be client focused and keep update on industry trends and regulatory changes, continue to enhance / upgrade our service to deliver the evolving needs of our clients and partners
Design and ensure efficient implementation of key controls and procedures of Fund Services’ day to day functions including but not limited to fund valuation oversight and cash liquidity management with investment team for mutual funds, Cayman funds, SICAV, HK retail trusts and HK pension funds
Developing and maintaining controls over cash projection and cash liquidity for retail trust, mutual and pension funds, including to respond timely to investment team’s enquiries relating on FX and overdraft prevention
Developing and maintaining an industry leading digitized service delivery model , ensuring risk and performance are managed to the very highest of standards
Drive continuous improvement across the function
Management of significant projects aligned to Invesco’s business priorities
Developing and maintaining an industry influencing role by participating in industry forums
Support fund launches by participating in meetings as subject matter expert in fund administration
Develop & implement solutions to meet both regulatory and management reporting requirements
Oversight of the fund audit and SOC 1 audit processes, and being the management point of contact for escalation of audit issues
Be knowledgeable in technology platforms associated with fund valuation oversight. Work with various technology groups and external providers to accomplish department objectives
Work Experience / Knowledge :
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the asset management industry and multinational firm
Proven experience supporting development of a vision through execution and day to day handling dynamic, client-focused organization
Experience creating and executing effective change management, leading others through transformational change
Ability to translate thoughts into action
Proven experience in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal clients to understand their business needs
Knowledge of business risk, sound working knowledge of robust operating procedures and controls
Broad understanding of investment operations, thorough knowledge of institutional and retail businesses with Invesco (or similar) product lines, regulatory issues, systems, and support procedures and controls;
knowledge of basic middle to back office operation of FX and bank instructions, is an advantage
Broad understanding of technology (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation), digital savvy
