ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The IT Sourcing Specialist will perform a combination of sourcing, contract, performance and relationship management functions for Avery Dennison’s IT Sourcing and Vendor Management (ITSVM) team. The person in this role will interact with Avery Dennison stakeholders and IT vendors to evaluate vendors and IT services/applications, complete IT purchases, and support vendor relationships. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing administrative support, such as tracking, reporting, data entry, scheduling, and other tasks as needed to support the ITSVM team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitate business problem / need definition (pre-engagement planning) and sourcing strategy initiationConduct market analysis and benchmarkingDrive vendor evaluation / selection (e.g. RFx, due-diligence, Q&A, scoring)Lead contract development, negotiation, execution and monitoringCreate requisitions, purchase orders, and any other order documentation required for IT purchasesFacilitate post-execution contract management, maintain contract system of record and provide proactive renewal/obligation notificationsProvide appropriate support / training to ITSVM category managersWork with Finance teams as needed for budget planning, purchasing, and reconciliationSupport the deployment of consistent vendor management processes Support annual executive reviews for key vendorsWork with operational teams and other key stakeholders to monitor and report on vendor performance in the areas that include: cost, contracting, delivery and support, flexibility and ease of doing business, partnership and innovation, quality and risk & complianceCollect, consolidate, and communicate detailed and summary vendor results to multiple constituents on vendor performance and relationshipsAnalyze problem areas and help resolve disputesIdentify opportunities for vendor innovation and relationship management improvementManage communications with vendorsPerform ad hoc duties when required
REQUIREMENTSDiploma/Degree holder in business, legal studies, IT or related disciplines3-5 years work experience in contract management or IT sourcing/procurement, including drafting and negotiating IT contractsCandidates with paralegal or legal assistant background is preferredFluent in both written and spoken English, MandarinProficient in Microsoft Excel (eg. formulas, functions, pivot tables etc.), word & PowerPointExperience with Google Sheets, Docs and Forms is an advantageWillingness to travel as required, an estimated 10%
