Job Duties

  • Responsible for operations of the overall logistics for the division, ensure that it works with and delivers efficient and effective logistics support to the Greater China and Asia Pacific Regions
  • Provide the highest quality logistics and supply chain management services to meet or exceed customer (internal and external) expectations
  • Manage regional distribution strategy, including inbound, outbound and any necessary movements of goods and materials
  • Provide comprehensive transportation management to optimize transportation mode, routing, equipment or frequency
  • Manage third party service providers, focusing on cost reduction and service improvement
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest logistics best practices, customs clearance formalities and procedures, laws and regulations to ensure optimal customs clearance processes in destination countries
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, exports, or custom issues
  • Ensure the entire logistics process is maintained and developed in accordance with the goals of the business at an economical cost
  • Analyze all aspects of regional logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies
  • Create policies or procedures to close gaps that hinder effective operations
  • Streamline work process and apply best practices within Asia
  • Develop and improve process discipline and quality
  • Drive the design, development, implementation and management of operation solutions for customers
  • Direct or coorinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions, including repair, return, delivery, or final disposal of resources
  • Track, analyze and communicate key performance metrics
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes
  • Lead and support the planning, testing and roll-out of Financial projects and manage change in operation flow
  • Assist in verifying yearly insurance data submission
  • Routine support of global and regional insurance policies
  • Work with countries on event insurance declaration
  • Actively participate in and commit to global supply chain projects as a sponsor of the Asia organization
  • Initiate regional supply chain projects to plan and implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes in Asia
  • Support and monitor consistent implementation and roll-out of projects across Asia
  • Train and develop team members
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
  • Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting and self actualization
  • Cascade corporate or company direction to subordinates and ensure the work align with company goals
  • Job requirements

  • University Graduate in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
  • As least 5 years' solid experience in managerial level on operations / logistics. Experience in sizable company or regional office is highly preferable
  • Good computer skill with ERP experience in advantage. Ability to work with IT to develop and implement efficiency enhancement projects
