The Role

An opportunity now exists to join the firm's Finance Department on a one year Fixed Term Contract. The person will provide general accounting support to the Hong Kong Financial Controller and the team.

Skills and experience required

Key skills and experience

  • Minimum +2 years accounting experience and accounting diploma or higher qualification required.
  • High level of IT literacy; MS office, Elite or similar enterprise / accounting systems, but equally important is the ability to think laterally and make optimal use of the technology available
  • Key duties & responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Vouchers update, prepare cheque
  • Fund transfer
  • Monitor bank daily transactions, check bank balance
  • Trust account record update
  • Prepare reconciliation of all trusts
  • Assist in monthly billing
  • Cash receipts update
  • Prepare official receipt
  • Prepare monthly WIP reports and ad hoc AR reports to fee earners
  • Maintain outside storage record and report
  • GL account reconciliations
  • Assists with preparation for year-end adjustment
  • Respond to various ad hoc requests
  • Other responsibilities as they may be assigned from time-to-time
  • Prepare direct debit payments, transfers, etc.

  • Working hours : 9.30am to 6.00pm but flexibility is a must
  • 6 month probation period
