We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst .
Perform business analysis to elicit requirements and create documentation such as Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirements Documents and Solution Documents for prioritised items
Lead or participate in opportunity workshops with existing or potential new clients to capture their current business and technical models and contribute to proposal documents articulating benefits of Broker Outsourcing to facilitate capturing of new business
Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary;
determining daily priorities; capturing and assessing delivery risk; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones;
following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
Manage discussions with internal teams such as the BBD Product, Business Process Improvement, Control and IT teams as well as vendor teams where required to ensure changes are appropriately managed and supported throughout the lifecycle
Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level;
focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination;
integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders such as IT, Product, and operational teams;
identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results;
recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor degree and extensive number of years of practical experience in senior business analyst roles
Strong experience and proven track record that can be demonstrated in delivering complex business and IT system related changes and documenting business / functional requirements
Flexibility in approach and methodology, and the ability to show initiative and respond quickly to changing situations
Ability to manage ambiguity and work to bring clarity to requirements by effectively engaging clients or partners
Excellent documentation skills for functional specifications and / or presentations to clients
Excellent client facing skills, with experience of managing client relationships either external clients or in a Front Office environment
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver results to a high standard, escalating where required
Strong leadership and experience of functional leadership of junior BA resources whilst ensuring approaches and good practices are adhered to (note : this role does not require direct management of any resources)
Excellent 360 degree communication skills and interpersonal skills
Positive can do’ attitude in all aspects of performing job duties
Planning, time management and resource management skills (for small projects)
Sound understanding of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycle in the context of system changes
Ability to execute role with a high level of autonomy while being mindful of when to seek guidance and approval
Knowledge of Markets products and associated post trade operational processes with specific functional expertise in one of Middle Office, Settlements or Asset Services for Cash Equities is highly desirable
Diploma in Business Analysis Optional
Lean Six Sigma / Green Belt Optional
Track record of change delivery using agile approaches is desirable
