Executive Director - ECR Commercial Lead APAC

The Economics & Country Risk group at IHS Markit is seeking a Commercial Leader to grow revenue in the APAC region. This position is at the Executive Director level and will serve as ECR’s APAC leader for all aspects of the business.
The position will report to the VP- Commercial Leader for ECR and have dotted line reporting to the ECR Global Head of Sales.
While this role will not initially have direct reports, all ECR APAC-based teams, including data, research and Sales, will have dotted line reporting the APAC Commercial Leader.
Success in this role will be measured by revenue generation of the ECR business in APAC. Responsibilities include working with Sales to develop specific go-to-market strategies, identifying and prioritizing white space, driving and managing strategic regional partnerships, working with Research and the global Product Management team to drive and implement regional specific product strategies, setting a research travel calendar designed to drive sales and focus activities, and working with APAC Marketing teams to design and implement persona-focused events.
Responsibilities will also include supporting Sales on new business and renewal opportunities by giving senior level client presentations and providing overall leadership to ECR members based in APAC.
The person in this role will also be responsible for representing ECR within the larger IHS Markit team in APAC.

Background in economics or country risk information a plus
