The Small and Medium Business (SMB) Marketing team is responsible for bringing new Google Ads advertisers into the franchise.

We leverage traditional marketing channels, third-party channels, as well as innovative alternative channels to reach prospective advertisers.

The team focuses on SMBs, and plays a leadership role in Google’s efforts to reach out to and serve the small business community.

Our goals are specific and significant quantity and quality of new advertisers, supporting Google’s overall growth.

As the Product Marketing Manager for SMB Marketing team, you'll be responsible for leading, planning, and driving a strategic acceleration plan focusing on customer acquisition and growth in the China market.

You will oversee the positioning and promoting of Google's Ads products to achieve measurable business results across multiple channels.

Your end goal will be to acquire small and medium advertisers through efficient programs and campaigns designed to increase awareness, educate the market, and drive product adoption.

You'll lead the overarching marketing strategies, and work closely with global and regional marketing stakeholders, as well as play an integral part of a cross-functional team spanning Sales, Strategy and Operations, PR, Legal, and more to contribute to Google's overall positioning in the business market in China.

  • Define marketing strategies and tactics to acquire and engage customers around Google’s advertising products, working in close cooperation with regional and global Marketing teams applying best practices for B2B advertiser acquisition at Google.
  • Oversee the positioning, strategy, and development of marketing plans targeted at advertisers, and establish a close partnership with sales stakeholders and teams.
  • Design, execute, and analyze impact of marketing programs to achieve business goals and optimize opportunities.
  • Identify and execute innovative marketing strategies and plans to drive education, engagement, and product adoption.
  • Contribute and participate in business reviews on local marketing strategy with marketing and sales executives within the region and to the broader organization.
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, a relevant field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of B2B Marketing experience.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience working across complex cross-functional environments with demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions that drive business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns.
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment, and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to engage directly with stakeholders at all levels.
