As part of the continued expansion of our Hong Kong Support team we are seeking a new Support Analyst to work both on ITRS and client sites to maintain and improve their Geneos installations.
The successful candidates will work directly with the clients and the global ITRS support analysts in our regional offices to :
Monitor and ensure the health of Geneos installations, Regularly visit client sites to respond to and fix any issues which arise during the software’s normal operation.
Work with the end Geneos users to answer their questions, help with configuration, and work through any perceived issues.
Escalate to and work with the 3rd line ITRS support and development teams, where investigation gets more involved, and track the requests through to their conclusion.
Deploying software upgrades, help the clients to upgrade the various Geneos components, and keep them up to speed wit latest developments and releases in the product line.
Help define best practice, and contribute to the state of the art with respect to Geneos and Monitoring within the global client base.
In the first instance the role will be located in Hong Kong. There may also be scope (for staff that excel) to move through to other parts of the ITRS client service teams where you may be expected to travel to London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore so having a valid passport is essential.
We would expect the successful candidate to be self motivated, out-going and desire to be client facing. They should have a focus and passion for technical problem solving and system improvement.
Required skill sets and qualifications include :
Educated to Degree level
English, Strong written and spoken English
Operating Systems, At least a years experience of working as an Administrator in one of Linux, Solaris or Windows
Experience in at least one database system of Sybase, Oracle, mySQL, SQLServer, and a working knowledge of SQL is an advantage
Scripting, experience in scripting languages
Client facing experience, is a benefit but not required in at least on service industry
