The Head of Hedge Fund Product teams’ main responsibilities will be to define and develop the Groups strategic hedge fund administration service proposition.
The dedicated team of Hedge Fund Specialists will have a strong focus on service delivery to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service.
The Regional Head of Head Funds ( RHHF) will work closely with all offices in the APAC region to identity services level issues, training needs, product development wish-
list and reporting requirements.
The RHHF will have several responsibilities relating to the Open-Ended Hedge Fund Offering The key responsibilities have been categorised under the following headings, Product, Quality Control, On-
Boarding, Application and Training.
Assist the GHHF to maintain and development the Hedge Fund Offering
Working closely with the Sales teams, clients and local MDs to Identify any gaps in the Product offering
Develop and maintain a regional reporting framework which captures company wide statistics on every Open-Ended Hedge fund serviced in the region
Compare and contract our Product against our competitors in the industry
Keep up to speed on industry and regulatory developments to identify any potential new product offerings
Understanding the local legal and delegation rules of offices operating in the region
Carrying out service quality checks in relation to Hedge Funds, covering Fund Administration, Transfer Agency across APAC offices and reporting to executive;
Conduct GAP analysis in the processing and review controls for Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency and related service functions, such as FATCA / CRS
Assisting in revamping the funds checklist considering TOM
Conduct KPI based analysis for Open ended funds by office / region and track key performance metrics
Review Client Risk Assessment and work with regional MDs to agreed appropriate resolution
Create Fund Fact Sheets for all Open-Ended Hedge Funds for each office in the region and cross reference these against Business Tracker for accuracy
Review office by office / Fund by Fund SLA between support centres and local office in the region
Maintain a master error and complaint log for the region and analyse development training needs given the pattern of errors to create thematic solutions for recurring errors
Participate in the regional client acceptance committee meetings for Open-Ended Hedge Fund prospective clients.
Support the on-Boarding team by reviewing the pricing calculator, guiding in relation to performance fee structures, system capabilities;
Assisting with addressing adequate disclosures in the offering documents;
Ensure a Pricing Policy is put in place for all new clients
Main point of contact for any Hedge Fund related questions
Control the application enhancement wish list from a user group perspective.
Update and maintain all system demo funds across all applications such as PAXUS, Geneva, APEX 24 / 7, Mantra etc.
Work with the portal development team to finalize any enhancements
Assist the Application Support Group to help prioritize development and features of the various applications in use based on demands of the business team and clients.
Work with the sales team on the demo formats and talking points
Assisting with organising on training material in relation to Hedge Funds and the core accounting systems,
Assist in developing the training pack for the centralization / support centres.
Assisting with organising on training material in relation to regional regulatory reporting;
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in the hedge fund administration industry and a strong knowledge of the operating environment;
In depth knowledge of system applications such as PAXUS, Geneva, Investran, efront etc;
Proven leadership and communication skills and the ability to think strategically.
Knowledge of onshore and offshore hedge funds structures
Good knowledge of global and local regulations along with an appreciation of the implications of EMIR, Dodd Frank, MIFID, FATCA.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with ambitious growth goals.
Experienced in presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing others.
Proficient in Excel and MS Power Point application.
Accounting qualification or similar business degree.
