  • Responsibilities

    Be an integral part of the continued growth of EPAM's commercial deal pursuits as well as general legal issues that arise in the APAC geography with varying degrees of complexity

    Draft, negotiate and revise a wide variety of commercial contracts, focusing primarily on IT software services agreements (projects), consulting agreements, statements of work, as well as subcontractor and alliance agreements and other in-bound commercial agreements

    Liaise with internal business clients and other members of the global Legal team to efficiently close deals

    Lead and assist with various special projects as assigned such as : developing templates and standard positions; improving contract management approaches and educating internal teams to assure conformity and consistency in application of relevant policies and procedures

    Lead and assist with the development and management of privacy compliance policies and procedures, working with cross-functional partners when needed and providing proactive guidance specifically on APAC related privacy and data protection laws, regulations, industry standards, self-regulatory requirements

    Lead and assist on all HR related matters across the APAC region, (including developing templates) and assisting with HR disputes

    Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts, including external counsel, when needed

    Prepare management reporting to summarize status of contract negotiations, disputes and provide information to aid in management decision-making

    Implement and conduct training on policies, programs and contractual approaches

    Develop legal procedures, practices and systems, embed them in APAC business operations


    At least 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney with experience in a top tier law firm and directly relevant in-house experience

    Experience with a global IT services company, dealing with management at senior executive levels

    Experience with cost-effective management of outside legal resources

    Sound judgement, strong communication skills

    Good drafting and writing skills

    Experience managing competing demands and working under pressure

    Able to work independently

    Speed and strong work ethic

    Experience in commercial IT services transactions strongly preferred

    Fluency in Chinese would be a significant advantage
