Senior Customer Insights Manager

As part of the newly developed Regional Marketing Team at Informa Markets in Asia, this incumbent will be responsible for identifying and developing the key local, regional and international buyers at events across different verticals, through market research, internal and external database tools, and networks development.

He / she will take the lead to develop buyer engagement strategies, and work with marketers in different event teams to develop programs to attract new buyers, enter new markets and engage with existing buyers.

As part of the life-time management of buyers, at times this role will be expected to support the retention of high value or strategic buyers.

This role will also have an advisory role to marketers, partner with different teams to develop buyer engagement surveys and interviews, and co-own the result.


  • Leverage data and research tools to find out who are the top and most loyal buyers or customers across different verticals or exhibition industries.
  • Analyse database and identify our gaps in existing customer pool, work with external suppliers and develop campaigns with internal marketers to recruit new high value buyers
  • Conduct market analysis and opportunity assessment to grow event audience and develop buyer engagement programs
  • Enhance buyer profiles for better buyer insights through conducting research, liaise with suppliers for information, and developing buyer engagement surveys & interviews
  • Develop buyer development strategies and partner with marketers across different event teams to drive opportunities and facilitate business matching across different regions and verticals, activities include but not limited to develop buyer engagement surveys and interviews, outbound calling, attending industry related events, market searching and connecting with industry associations
  • Liaise with the Event Directors to develop attraction plan for new buyers and advise on retention strategy to key high value existing buyers
  • Take an advisory role on customer satisfaction solution to ensure a positive experience and work with other business functions (e.
  • g. Sales, Event Operations) where necessary

  • Qualifications


  • University Bachelor’s Degree with Marketing / Business / Applied Sciences or related qualification
  • 8 years of customer relationship management experience, with minimum of 3 in customer / business development
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with international buyers across various regions and cultures
  • Significant experience in a B2B sales team and proven ability to generate source leads
  • Strong business sense to enable relationship development with senior level executives and industry association
  • Experience in market research and strong ability to identify and pursue customer opportunities
  • Good knowledge of analytic tools and digital savvy
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm
  • Fluent in verbal and written Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and English
