We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a PayMe Lead Architect.
Deliver technology design aligned to HSBC standards, hands-on approach to all architecture, engineering and IT operational aspects
Deliver architecture that supports the most efficient and secure solutions meeting business needs and controlling operational risk
Follow defined HSBC standards and drive quality in to all areas of development using quality standards and processes.
Conducting design and architectural review with the wider architecture community
Re-use of architectural artefacts like business services, APIs, and functions
Work with its team to ensure all solutions adhere to common standards
Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of processes and technologies
Involvement with the ongoing product strategy including current UX, DevOps and Cloud development trends
Industry events and networking, conferences and public speaking, any technical PR
Trusted advisor to the Product Owner supporting the use of technology to innovate in the product domain
Technology evangelist for the value of technology in driving the product agenda
Architectural thought leadership on the use and combination of technologies
Experience of optimizing complex systems and working with business to solve problems using technology
Experience in designing complex distributed / service oriented / micro services style and cloud based systems, with focus on scalability, maintainability and extensibility
Experience in designing integrations between different systems, working with different teams and driving an agreement on the technologies and methods to use
Solid experience in designing and delivering high performance and reliable full-stack high-traffic solutions, ideally in an open source environment
Expert level experience in back-end or full stack development on various Java based technology stacks (ideally Spring) and public cloud (ideally AWS / Azure)
Practitioner of agile methodologies
Ability to breakdown and explain complex technical solutions to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and technical capabilities
Excellent presentation skills Preparing and delivering high level architectural solutions to senior executives
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
Ability to change the culture of a team
Ability to lead architecture and engineering teams and resolve technical issues
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways
