Our Network Investment Managers solve some of the most complex network development and delivery challenges every day including the construction of new routes where infrastructure currently does not exist.
We are looking for a Network Investment Manager to join our APAC team to support our growing backbone needs. This person will develop and implement strategies to provide Facebook with best in class pricing, optimal flexibility & scalability, unmatched delivery & availability as well as optimized operation & maintenance arrangements.
Working with the regionally based team, Network Planning, Program Management and Backbone Engineering, the Network Investment Manager will focus on communicating and implementing strategies negotiating supply contracts, joint build agreement and other cable related contracts and representing Facebook in cable consortia pre and post-CIF.
Network Development & Supply Strategy : Taking network demand and working with the team to determine the best way to meet demand, including joint build efforts with partner organizations with similar connectivity needs.
Build budgets and business cases for investment and network expansion with clear and objective investment analysis and recommendations for investment approvals.
Network Optimization : Work with Engineering and Planning to enhance the network’s diversity and cost efficiency.
Partnership Development : Recommending regional carrier and peer partnership strategies for establishing long term relationships with key vendors and peers including negotiation of JBA / C&MAs and Supply Contracts.
Identify landing sites and partners that fit the network plan and negotiate landing agreements.
Supplier relationships : Maintaining and developing carrier supplier and partner relationships. Manages performance of the contracts, tracking and ensuring compliance of suppliers with the contract T&Cs.
Contract Strategy and Execution : Lead the business negotiation process with internal partners and suppliers. Own closure on contracts.
Develop negotiation approach, fallback positions, acceptable terms and conditions through to closure.
BA / BS or equivalent in technical or business related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience. At least 4 years of subsea cable experience.
At least 4 years of subsea cable experience.
Ability to negotiate technical and commercial elements of contracts.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Management experience in network related products and services.
Willing to travel and work within Asia and undertake short-term business trips to the US and Europe as required.
Must be analytical and results focused.
Business and technical knowledge of networks, their operation and associated performance and cost models.
