Ongoing Role Responsibilities
Support the development of business requirements for regulatory capital platform to align with current and new regulatory requirements.
Support operationalisation of Basel IV and capital related requirements in Hong Kong and GCNA region and provide comfort to senior management that business requirements have been appropriately captured in the capital platform.
Change management for regulatory capital platform changes to handle new regulations, models, etc.
Other critical responsibilities and adhoc deliverables assigned by Finance or Treasury leadership.
Effective contribution to tactical and strategic projects that may be assigned.
Governance and Risk Management
Perform periodic gap analysis against regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance.
Develop remediation plans to strengthen compliance to capital rules.
Support the implementation of appropriate controls that ensure critical data elements are subject to the right level of substantiation and escalations are made for downstream issues for resolution.
Support BCBS 239 compliance efforts.
Support adherence to all internal policies and external regulations and establish a robust governance process to evidence compliance.
Team Engagement and Conduct
Contribute to work climate that promotes team engagement, alignment with group / country strategic deliverables and compliance with Group code of conduct.
Contribute to an agile and growth mindset within the team.
Effective collaboration with other teams (e.g. Risk, Finance, Compliance, Treasury) to meet common team objectives.
Translate complex technical subjects into simple overviews for business and other stakeholder updates.
Optimal outcomes from Internal and external audit engagements.
Optimal outcomes from regulatory engagements.
Risk model implementation, reporting and insights.
Capital COE / GFS establishing an effective reporting process.
Compliance regulatory compliance and interpretation.
GIA Internal audit engagement.
Group Treasury Teams Policy alignment and sharing of best practices.
Our Ideal Candidate
Degree or professional qualification in the Financial Services sector with strong experience in Capital reporting.
5 + years of experience including experience in leading and team collaboration.
Should have knowledge on Capital and RWA per HKMA rules and Basel standards.
Should possess basic knowledge of Financial markets products offered.
Should be conversant with MI tools and generating insights from large amounts of data.
Should be a resilient, self starter with well developed communication and inter-personal skills.
