The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is seeking a high-caliber individual who is creative, passionate and motivated to support the Brand Marketing Team in Public Affairs Office for building an international brand.

  • The appointee will play a key role in combining marketing and social media management skills to enhance the University’s social media presence, including curating engaging content based on news and people stories of the University and its affiliates;
  • and initiating and executing relevant and innovative social media campaigns with high quality marketing deliverables that convey value propositions of the University.

    The appointee will also support brand management and university-wide marketing, website development, external partnerships, budget monitoring and other administrative works.

    The appointee should have knowledge in digital and social media, UX / UI trend, delivering content direction and creating content with SEO / SEM approach.

    The appointee should have extensive performance marketing experience - Google AdWords, Programmatic, Re-targeting / Prospecting and be responsive with support of social listening and data analytics trend.

    The appointee must work with the team, peers or service providers closely to ensure smooth running of projects. The appointee is also required to support the team to follow up on relevant content produced in different formats including but not limited to video production, photo shooting, copywriting, translation, and creative features in social media.

    The appointee should be flexible to emerging requirements from the team as needs arise.

    Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Social Media, Communication, Journalism or related disciplines, with at least 8 years of working experience in social media management and digital marketing, and a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

    He / She should have extensive experiences in content creation and writing social media posts. Applicants should have experience in digital / social media management (including social media in Mainland China), planning and execution, project management, UX / UI, data analytics, and SEO / SEM.

    Experience in managing online marketing platforms across Google AdWords, Facebook Ad Manager and using Google Analytics tools is a must.

    The appointee should have strong organization, data analytic, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. He / She should also be creative, responsive, reliable, a devoted team player, self-motivated, detail-minded, and capable of multi-tasking, meeting tight deadlines and supporting on driving results.

    Ad hoc support outside office hours including on weekends / public holidays will be required upon need basis. (Duration : 2 years)

    Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.

    A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
