Sitting within the Equity Execution team at Macquarie, the Macquarie Liquidity Solutions Group combines strong client relationships with advanced technology to offer a market leading block trading execution platform to our clients.
You will be joining our Liquidity Solutions desk in Hong Kong as a Trading Analyst, working alongside senior traders and quantitative developers in an established, industry leading execution team with a focus on large dollar notional equity block engagements.
You should have excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to make quick judgements under pressure.
Previous experience on a trading floor is not required but a willingness to learn is a must.
You will play an important role in the success of the team, and you’ll quickly find yourself assisting across a variety of activities as we provide block trade execution services for our clients.
You will be interacting with our clients on a daily basis, providing support and advice throughout the deal lifecycle, including product sales, onboarding, servicing and trouble shooting as required.
You will develop strong internal relationships; you’ll be working closely with our quant and data teams to constantly improve and finetune our algorithms, as well as collaborating with sales trading, portfolio trading, regional research and sales teams to leverage Macquarie’s global platform and reach.
We will also provide you with the opportunity to develop through participation in global project work - potentially including marketing, operational or product initiatives.
As a recent graduate (or final year student), you do not need specific industry experience, but you will have a passion for financial markets and admirable academic qualifications.
You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build relationships quickly. We operate in a fast paced, highly regulated environment, so the ability to make quick, sound decisions and take responsibility while working in a team will be vital.
You’ll have a high level of organizational, time management and stakeholder management skills, but also have the commercial acumen to support and identify sales and marketing opportunities.
Finally, you’ll be fluent in English, with any Asian language a bonus.
If you have the drive, confidence and are ready to learn in an interesting and evolving space, apply now.
