Given the increasing importance ofCapital Group’s ability to directly strengthen our corporatepartnerships, we recently appointed a Global Head of CorporateAccess to design, implement, and lead a robust and innovativeCorporate Access program.

We are now looking to build out ourCorporate Access team and appoint an Asia Regional Head ofCorporate Access.

Based in Hong Kong, the Asia RegionalHead of Corporate Access will report to the Global Head ofCorporate Access and be responsible for developing the CorporateAccess strategy and executing events across Asia.

S / he will beresponsible for the coordination and management of access tocorporates, experts, and government entities; including on-

andoff-site meetings, site visits, conference calls, roadshows,investment conferences, and bespoke researchtrips.

The Asia Regional Head of CorporateAccess will engage with investors, proactively suggest agendas anditineraries, and represent Capital Group with Investor Relationsteams.

This is a hands-on role, which will balance origination andexecution, and will require ownership of the day-to-daycoordination between our investment professionals andcorporates.

This role will provide critical connectivitybetween Capital Group’s investors and the market, with a particularemphasis on building relationships with market participants inChina and small-

cap corporates across theregion.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Partner with the Global Head of CorporateAccess and other Regional Corporate Access managers to design,develop and manage a best in class Corporate Access program, whichconsistently adds value to the investmentprocess.
  • Work collaboratively with investmentprofessionals to centralize and execute Asian corporate accessactivity, including one-
  • off meetings, conferences, and roadshows(sector-themed or geographicallyfocused).

  • Strengthen ongoing relationships withinvestment professionals to stay abreast of their current coverageresponsibilities and investment ideas / theses that factor into acorporate access strategy.
  • Make pro-active corporate accesssuggestions based on investment team’s coverage and partner withinvestment teams to curate differentiated and enriching corporateaccess interactions.
  • Manage an event budget for conferences,investor trips, corporate roadshows, and industry forums. Overseelogistics, including event planning, travel schedules, on-
  • siteevents, and other ad hoc meetings.

  • Act as point of contact with companymanagement teams (CEOs, CFOs, and other C-suite, InvestorRelations, etc.) to request and secure meetings for our investmentprofessionals, representing Capital Group in an appropriate andcompelling manner, and ensuring a positive userexperience.
  • Originate new relationships withcompanies (public and private) where Capital Group does not have alegacy of direct dialogue.
  • Leverage technology solutions todocument and enhance the management of the corporate accessprocess.
  • Develop a robust tracking mechanism, inpartnership with internal compliance, to ensure all corporateaccess data is available for compliancepurposes.
  • Develop and evolve mechanisms formeasuring output and analyzing the overall effectiveness ofCorporate Access programs andactivities.
  • Work closely with global counterpartsin other geographical locations to provide corporate access updatesand opportunities.
  • Act as a player-coach to ensurebest-in-class execution while providing leadership, training anddaily management of the Asian regional Corporate Accessteam.
  • Partner closely with functionalpartners within the organization, including Compliance, Meetings& Events, Research Services and Technology to ensure CorporateAccess program is fully integrated into the broader Capital Groupbusiness.
  • Provide on-the-ground coverage for theregion, which will entail significant travel acrossAsia.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience withinfinancial services; sell-side corporate access or investorrelations experience isdesirable
  • Direct experience covering the Chinesemarket and / or Asian small-cap experience is highlypreferred
  • Knowledge of trends, best practices,and developments in Corporate Access
  • Demonstrated record of strategicvision, balanced with an eye fordetail
  • Strong project / program managementskills
  • Exceptional communication skills, bothwritten and verbal
  • Strong client / customer serviceorientation
  • Ability to develop relationships withinvestment professionals to gain an understanding of their needs asan investor
  • Experience with large scale eventplanning in a corporate environment
  • Strong judgment andintegrity
  • Experience working with sensitive orconfidential information
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’sdegree preferred
  • Verbal and written language proficiencyin Mandarin and / or Japaneserequired
