Support relevant stakeholders to make decisions in accordance with Group Sanctions Policy, Standards, and internal operating instructions.
Assist the Sanctions Team under Greater China and North Asia ( GCNA ) in overseeing the regional compliance responsibilities for sanctions.
Evaluate and advise on reputational and sanctions risks arising from customers and transactions.
Provide client-based and transaction-based support to countries across the region.
Engage in specific sanctions related projects where required.
Escalate immediately to Regional Sanctions Advisor and Head of Sanctions GCNA on any material breaches or potential breaches of sanctions laws, regulation or Group standards
Apply Group and CFCC ( Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance) policies and processes in order to manage sanctions risk.
Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions.
Identify financial crime risk indicators through various internal / external sources that impact SCB and its clients.
Implement sanctions risks identification and assessment methodologies.
Advise relevant stakeholders on outcomes of sanctions risks identification and assessment methodologies.
Support all control checks undertaken by CFCC under the Operational Risk Framework (ORF).
Be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management through appropriate governance channels.
Support Sanctions Governance in the production of reports that help identify and manage emerging areas of risk / vulnerability and thus drive remediation within the CFCC function.

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.

Assist the Regional Sanctions Advisor and Head of Sanctions GCNA to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles : Fair Outcomes for Clients;

Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
