In the role of Director, Broker Relations on the Market Solutions team in the Hong Kong office the employee will be responsible for the following :
Partner with the head of Broker Relations in the US to be responsible for Asia related Broker Relations process and strategy
Manage PM onboarding and ensure teams are properly connected to sell side resources internationally
Engage with PMs to enhance their access to sell side resources including corporate access and manage resource allocation process, targeting approach and branding.
Allocate Balyasny host for events with limited seats, following the allocation process ensuring PM satisfaction
Focus on BAM branding opportunities with corporate IRs in Asia, distribute one pager and help corporates understand BAMs structure and investment teams
Help sell side partners navigate the firm and provide updates as needed
Partner with compliance to manage the onboarding of new broker / research onboarding for investment teams
Review monthly sell side utilization data and make updates with Research Coordinator structure
Assist with Global Broker vote including the set up of the vote, presentation building and dissemination to street wide relationships
Foster collaboration across PM teams
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information quickly with discretion and build rapport across all levels of the firm
Knowledge and understanding of corporate access workflows, trends, best practices and process
Ability to work independently and thrive in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment
Experience developing and maintaining large data sets with the ability to analyze and report on the data
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of work experience in sell side sales, relationship management, or buy side broker relations role.
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau expertise. Plus if candidate has knowledge of OneAccess, CorpAxe or sell side resource aggregation software.
Excel expertise, ability to manipulate data and build macros, vlookup, pivot tables
Prior managerial experience a plus
