Top global law firm with more than 750 lawyers in 10 offices is seeking a Litigation Support Project Manager in their Hong Kong office.

The Project Manager will act as the technical discovery expert in the Hong Kong office. Responsibilities include working closely with lawyers and outside vendors on multiple cases to develop management plans for electronic documents.

  • The Litigation Support Project Manager will also perform comparative cost analysis and analyze price structures; coordinate the flow of all electronic data, ensuring proper processing and loading;
  • manage document review workflows and quality checks; and oversee vendor work relating to review platform and productions.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with advising attorneys about technical aspects of e-data preservation and collection, vendor selection, processing specifications, reviewing workflows and analytics, and production issues and resolutions.

    Extensive working experience with industry-leading litigation support software is a must (e.g., Relativity, LAW, Concordance, DocuMatrix, Ipro, LiveNote, CaseMap and MS Access).

    Must speak Cantonese and English, ideally Mandarin as well. Must be local to Hong Kong, though exceptionally skilled relocations with strong language skills may be considered. Send resumes to .

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Act as the technical discovery expert in the Hong Kong office stay current on developments and industry practices
  • Work closely with lawyers and outside vendors on multiple cases to develop management plans for electronic documents
  • Analyze comparative cost analysis and price structures
  • Coordinate the flow of all electronic data, ensuring proper processing and loading
  • Manage document review workflows and quality checks
  • Oversee vendor work relating to review platform and productions
  • Quality check all productions
  • Analyze and resolve any and all issues regarding hosting, producing, and staffing
  • Advise attorneys about technical aspects of e-data preservation and collection
  • Vendor selection; processing specifications; review workflows and analytics; and production issues and resolutions
  • Participate on calls with partners, clients, and government agencies as needed to create defensible collection plans, address technical issues, determine production formats, etc.
  • Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met; maintain relationships with outside vendors; review invoices and track the costs and effectiveness of vendors’ collection tools, processing and hosting solutions
  • Support technical e-discovery needs of the Hong Kong office, including by creating PDF portfolios, uploading and downloading documents on FTP sites;
  • loading documents to LiveNote, CaseMap, or other litigation support tools; processing documents in LAW or other litigation support software;
  • loading documents to review platforms; conducting advanced searches in review platforms; creating production folders and exporting productions

  • Participate as needed to otherwise support the litigation practice and the Hong Kong office
  • Manage litigation legal assistant(s) and court clerk; assure resources are properly utilized; conduct cross-training as needed
  • Qualifications / Position Requirements :

  • Strong technical understanding and experience with e-discovery process, life-cycle and technical issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Cantonese is required; fluency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences of varying degrees of expertise
  • High energy and leadership initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, the ability to effectively juggle competing demands, prioritize appropriately, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with all MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Extensive working experience with industry leading litigation support software (e.g., Relativity, LAW, Concordance, DocuMatrix, Ipro, LiveNote, CaseMap and MS Access)

  • Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional e-Discovery and / or Litigation Support and Project Management experience
