Professor Kevin Yip from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Professor Alfred Cheng from the School of Biomedical Sciences are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow in computational biology and bioinformatics to work on a project related to hepatocellular carcinoma.
The project aims at investigating gene regulatory mechanisms in tumor cells and immune cells, developing novel combination therapies, and predicting treatment response of patients.
and (iii) a good track record of high-quality research.
The appointee is expected to work collaboratively with other research staff and students in both the computational team and the biological experiment team.
The research study will involve various latest technologies, including single-cell sequencing, genome editing and immunotherapy.
On the computational side, the appointee is expected to be able to work independently on statistical modeling, algorithm development and high-throughput sequencing data analysis.
Appointment will be made on a contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter; (2) a detailed CV; (3) a research statement in the online application, and two reference letters should be sent directly from the referees to Professor Kevin Yip by email (kevinyip cse.cuhk.edu.hk).
