Ensure the daily index calculation and configuration; monitor consistency and correctness of those, as well as the distribution and communication to customers and third party providers
Monitor data feeds; identifies changes and coordinate solutions
Handle direct client requests and provides effective and timely 2nd level incident support and resolution for Index data matters and fixes daily quality issues, including clarifications with existing sources
Coordinate with other departments, especially IT, in order to insure high data quality through systematic analyses of concepts and implementation possibilities.
Document processes and workflows in the Index Operation team
Coordinates on-going index changes and perform periodic reviews of the STOXX and (DAX) indices and ensure update of data and client information in timely manner
Carry out end to end tests for new tools release according to manager’s guidance
Hold a university degree in finance, economics or mathematics or equivalent education
At least 1 to 2 years of professional experience in financial environment (preferable Index Business, Portfolio Business, Asset managers, Product Development or Structuring) and have the understandings of Financial Markets environment, its working constraints and philosophy,
Strong analytical and conceptual skills and know-how in financial information and financial markets, including understandings of corporate actions impacts on an Index
2 years minimum experience and track record in index operations, Middle or back office, data analysis / cleansing, data processing rules and techniques is a plus
Be able to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks time-efficient and autonomously in parallels and work on tight deadlines
Be able to work and learn autonomously without minimum of supervision and training (self-starter / self-learner
Finally, you need to be a team-player with customer orientated attitude, have the ability to act as proactively, independently with hands-on mentality with the following soft skills :
Fluent in English both oral and written.
Fluent in one of these Asian languages is mandatory : Chinese, Japanese or Korean.
Knowledge in a second Asian language would be a strong advantage.
Have in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS VBA for Excel and MS Access, databases and SQL, knowledge of Python would be a plus.
Good knowledge of reference and market data applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg, IDC
Ability to work independently with tight deadlines, quickly identify and report issues and problem.
