The Property Department is looking for a committed and self-motivated individual to join the team to support the setting up of large-
scale sports events in Conghua and future development of Conghua Thoroughbred Training Centre ( CTC ). CTC is a major strategic project of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) as a cross-
border home of HKJC’s stabling, training and racing facilities to support Hong Kong racing operations.
You will :
support the team to manage HK consultants and local design institutes in planning, design, procurement and implementation of infrastructure and temporary works for setting up large-
scale sports events in Conghua
work with functional departments to establish user requirements and budget for the project
organize design review with relevant stakeholders on constructability and cost effectiveness in operation
prepare and monitor the scope of design works and deliverables for procurement of consultants and implementation of construction works with the support of construction team
assist in preparation of tender document and drive contract procurement
arrange and manage handover of the completed works to user departments
assist in existing and future development of CTC Site including managing implementation of signage and landscaping works, procurement of design consultants, carrying out feasibility studies, preparation of master layout plan, procurement and implementation of advance infrastructure works for future development
Frequent travel to China is required
You should have :
degree in Architecture, Building Studies, Engineering or related discipline
at least 10 years relevant experience with sizable developers with a minimum of 5 years project management experience in China.
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Project Manager
proven experience in managing planning and architectural works in large scale projects. Candidate have experience in managing temporary works for exhibitions or sports events in China is an advantage
project Management ability and good problem solving skills at strategic level
good communication skills and work effectively with different parties
excellent command in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate.
Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
