GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the AP direction, create apparel design for men’s wear in alignment with seasonal Brand strategy in order to generate innovative and commercially viable product for Asia Pacific.

Constantly perfection and nurture design, colour and material in collaboration with Development, Merchandising and Marketing teams.

From learning brand heritage archive to capture brand DNA of Style, Performance and Green where applicable.

Ensure design practicality to meet AP business needs.

  • Independent designing of woven(knit) apparel for WD AP men’s wear.
  • Development of commercially viable graphic design in the collection.
  • Colour, fabric and trim research at international and national fairs and exhibitions.
  • Work under the seasonal calendar milestones and product timelines, to deliver
  • accurate design sketch & design pack

  • Develop close partnership with Merchandising and Development team to deliver meaningful product and executions to serve AP distribution
  • Ensure style, fit, quality, detail requirements are right for our market.
  • Internal presentations on seasonal product design review meeting.
  • Be an engaged and committed team-mate, Be a facilitator in negotiations
  • Be the front of marketplace reality and competition to ensure the relevant trends and innovations are filtered into WD Apparel collections
  • PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO :

    Product Development Team

    Fit and Tech specialist(ASO)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and / or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree or (equivalent) in Apparel or Consumer Product Design
  • Experience : 2-5 years of Apparel Product Design with similar brand(s) or organisation(s)
  • Languages : Fluent English essential; additional language is a plus
  • Skills : Excellent application of design skills including graphic design
  • Appropriate software capabilities(illustrator / photoshop / powerpoint)

    Strong organisational and communication skills.

    Strong attention to detail.

    Strong presentation Skills.

    Strong street fashion sense
