We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as IFRS 17 Hong Kong Implementation Lead .
Day to day management and successful delivery of IFRS 17 Programme in country.
Closely working with the Group programme and work stream leads to ensure that Country is adequately prepared to adopt the IFRS new standard.
Actively managing and coordinating the programme implementation plan, roadmap, identifying resourcing requirements, handling changes as they arise by keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
Establishing an effective governance and project control structure, ensuring a minimum adherence to the tollgate process and authorization of key documents by defined stakeholders.
Overseeing the tracking of programme risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, assess the impact on the overall programme and take action to minimize impact.
Ensuring interfaces between work packages are effective and engaging Sponsor, Accountable Executive, Business Stakeholders, including, but not limited to, CFO, Chief Actuary, Head of Product, COO, in key decision making.
Ensuring that right design is agreed for both Change The Bank and ongoing Run The Bank processes.
Keeping business and functional stakeholders informed across the geography as well as within the project.
Overseeing the implementation of the test strategy and business readiness throughout the network of impacted systems and processes.
Ensuring that respective business as usual business, functional teams and resourcing and capabilities are aligned to the policies, decisions and requirements arising from the programme.
Managing country level project plans and budgets and reporting against agreed baselines.
Qualified accountant or actuary with a recognised institute, and significant post qualification experience.
Detailed knowledge of IFRS 17 requirements and their practical consequences.
Background in insurance accounting or insurance actuarial, with strong knowledge of embedded value and economic solvency frameworks highly advantageous.
Proven track record in delivering complex change programmes across a large matrix of stakeholders.
Ability to solve problems with multiple constraints.
Experience from partnering closely with teams and stakeholders from various backgrounds.
Proven leadership ability and team working skills, ideally in an international environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and conflicting priorities.
Strong sense of risk management and controls.
A mind set of continuous improvement and aiming for excellence.
Strong interpersonal, language and presentation skills.
