Functional Area : SM - Sales & Marketing Estimated Travel Percentage (%) : Relocation Provided : AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited JOB DUTIES : Generate business from agents from Life-Source channels Develop sales plans to meet production targets allocated by the company for the panel of agents under management Ensure that channel sales discipline and practices are implemented so as to improve agent’s productivity and efficiency Drive sales and marketing activities to increase submission activities and sales penetration Analyze agents’ portfolio and identify cross-sell and up-sell business opportunities.
Improve sales penetration through such marketing initiatives Identify new and suitable agents to represent the company and ensure their personal development with the company Build a list of preferred and targeted agents who will achieve agreed sales targets Maintain strong relationships and rapport with agents through frequent interaction Conduct briefings to agents and agencies on a regular basis Assist agents with product and business queries and general department matters when required Develop in-depth understanding of company’s products and company’s value proposition and ensure agents are well communicated on it Keep agents updated on market developments and company’s new initiatives Help agents to assess personal competencies, values, goals and plan development and career actions.
Assist agents to map out production goals and strategies Assist agents to sell and conclude businesses whenever necessary.
This includes getting in front of the clients Track and monitor agent’s performance and to recommend appropriate solutions if agent encounters difficulties.
Identify and provide suitable training to increase agents’ product proficiency and enhance skills set. Develop, guide and train agents towards greater professionalism.
And encourage the use of technology to further improve efficiency and productivity Assist Campaign and Communication team to develop promotion, publicity and bulletin materials and carry out the launch of campaigns.
Handle complaints against agents Work with Service Centres and Product Towers to ensure quality service and underwriting / product standards are maintained RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES The role is responsible to generate business from Life-Source agents and meet sales production targets Introduce company’s product range to agents and ensure their growth with the company and focus on raising agent’s productivity Work closely with AIA agency staff and LUSEB member to create buy-in for AIG business SKILLS & EXPERIENCE : At least 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience (those from hospitality, medical, FMCG, telecommunications, banking or service industries are preferred) Has an interest in joining financial institutions and willing to learn Strong people management skills and ability to deal with different stakeholders within the company QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES University graduate preferred Expected to achieve basic and simple insurance certification within probation period Someone who is self-starter and results-oriented High energy level with a strong service oriented attitude Strong interpersonal, communication and persuasion skills Independent, driven and a self-starter Possess initiative, creativity and think-out-of-the-box’ Reading, speaking and writing in Chinese and English a must It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc.
