The Department

The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience to local and overseas customers of The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

It operates 88 Race Meetings a year, 37 Simulcasts days, a thrice-weekly Mark 6 Draw, 7X24 Digital Channels, 7X24 Football Betting Services on over 11,000 different leagues per year.

The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.

The Customer Management (Owner & Member Wagering Segment) formulates and executes business strategies to increase participation, build customer loyalty and shape good wagering experience for the Club’s Members (i.

e. Horse Owners and Members) with an ultimate aim of increasing customer satisfaction and turnover.

The job holder reports to Senior Segment Manager (Owner & Member Wagering Segment).

You will :

  • Participate in formulating, implementing and reviewing racing cultivation events / programmes from conception to execution, including pre-event preparation, budget and resources control, site management etc
  • Line up collaborations with luxury brands and other business entities to enrich contents for events / programmes
  • Ensure all marketing collaterals are complying with the legal and internal guidelines
  • Provide solutions and suggestions to enhance the quality standard of the outputs
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager
  • You should have :

  • A Bachelor degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 7 years’ solid experience in event management, marketing and communications, preferably in luxury industry
  • Experience in development of customer and lifestyle events preferred
  • High sensitivity to customer needs; knowledge of middle-class and affluent customer behaviours
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organization skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility and high team spirit to effectively lead the team to the best performance
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; good command of spoken Mandarin an advantage
  • Good knowledge in general computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in design software (e.g. Photoshop), photo-taking, video-shooting, photo touch-up and simple editing an advantage
  • Flexibility to work on racedays / non-racedays at both Happy Valley and Shatin Racecourses
