This role reports to the Chief Business Officer, and will continue to evolve TransUnion’s product and business development practices in the Hong Kong unsecured lending space via lenders / markets engagement, driving industry on Thought Leadership, bringing in market insights and continue gathering voice of market which can improve innovative solutions and data in order to drive local goals and strategies.
The role is tasked with identifying and pursuing areas for business penetration and growth, and leveraging our capabilities on executing our company 3 Year Plan for all business verticals.
This market planner is a senior leadership position leveraging product innovation team to position TransUnion as partner of choice within the Unsecured Lending industry.
The incumbent will also support strategic sales planning, working collaboratively with leaders and cross functional teams, such as Research & Consulting, Strategy & Planning, Sales, Marketing and Product.
The Market Planner will consult with internal partners to establish winning business & sales program, develop Go-To-Market strategy and recommend improvement plan on how to explore & identify customer needs, enhance product time-to-market, and create effective sales playbook.
What You'll Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field with 10 or more years of management experience in Hong Kong financial industry on credit card, unsecured or commercial lending.
Having related experience on credit risk management, product acquisition (P&L ownership preferred), product strategy, marketing analytics, business development or management consulting at lending industry field.
Ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise, and persuasively communicate with key senior stakeholders in face-to-face scenarios demonstrating real-time insight, flexibility and sound judgment
Strong analytical and insight-driven problem-solving skills with the ability to pursue consultative client engagements to drive business growth.
Independence, initiative, business acumen, and excellent verbal, story-telling written communication, and negotiation skills
Revenue oriented and fluent in English and Chinese preferred
Business maturity, and strong leadership and listening skills with the ability to analyze input from customers, partners, TransUnion associates, market and environmental trends, to identify and clearly articulate needs and opportunities for growth
Experience working in a matrixed environment preferred, collaborating across teams and functions
Sound working knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint with exceptional presentation skills
Ability to travel at least 10% of the time and perform other duties as assigned

Revenues focus via strategic market engagement, consumer engagement and thought leadership
As an expert in unsecured lending, credit card and credit industry landscape and needs.
Able to determine the required solution capabilities that drive value for our customers and TU.
Support new data acquisition, data solution use case development, identify partnership potentials with business team.
Support new data product development, design effective go-to-market plan with marketing.
Define frameworks and documents for market engagement plans, go-to-market strategies for company solutions, come up new data solutions and / or new customer segments, competitive analysis, and relevant sales materials for client pitching
Share industry knowledge across the organization to help drive deeper industry and customer-centric approach to business strategies and the innovation we bring to the market
Collaborate with internal partners to drive operational initiatives, e.g., Products, Pricing, Strategic & Planning, Memberships / Onboarding, Technology and Marketing
