To be independently responsible for larger Sustainability projects. To assist in develop the ability and capacity of the Sustainability team.
Develop and implement sustainability initiatives
Ensure vendor assessment and development procedures are fully understood and implemented by internal staff, suppliers and audit agents;
Ensure factories used comply with defined technical and ethical requirements.
Work closely with colleagues in Sourcing, Supply Chain and QA teams to ensure factory assessments and corrective actions are completed on-time, to support project completion according to CPA and shipments OTIFEF;
Responsible for managing larger projects, possibly involving 1 2 Sustainability Technologists;
Develop Sustainability Technologists by providing training, coaching and feedback;
Investigate customer complaints, identify corrective actions and work with suppliers and internal teams to implement.
Assist to review and update of assessment system and protocol to comply with Kingfisher sustainability standards and stakeholder expectations.
Ensure assessment programs are within specified budgets.
Developing selected strategically important and high-volume factories to improve their sustainability performance.
Ensuring continuous refinement of computer-based system to ensure effective implementation of the process of factory database management and factory assessment management.
Implement educational processes to familiarize staff, vendors and factories with sustainability policies and requirements.
Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of sustainability activities to all internal and external stakeholders.
Working with appropriate government departments and NGOs to be aware of ethical, environmental, health and safety developments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise of legal, technical, safety, environmental and ethical issues and ensure that employees and suppliers are fully briefed on issues affecting the business.
Work Experience : 5 years’ experience in supplier assessment and development in ethical, environmental and quality areas;
Proven experience in leading a small project team
Skill : Excellent project management and solid supplier assessment and development skills. Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Able to coach a small project team
Education : Bachelor degree holder in engineering or social science discipline
Industrial Knowledge : Knowledge and experience in social accountability and environmental management system, carbon / energy management, SMETA / BSCI audit;
Lead auditor certification / qualification an advantage;
Language : Fluently written and spoken English and Mandarin. French an advantage.

Travel Requirement : 20%-30% (China and South East Asian Countries)
