The Programme

Start date : 1st September 2020

Based on a permanent contract, the 24-month programme, which include on- and off-the-job components, place the emphasis on teamwork but also explore individual's specific skill set, further their development and set specific objectives.

As a participant in our graduate programme, you will develop your business know-how by working alongside accomplished professionals.

Your initial training will be complemented with a professional certification relevant to your area of business (CFA, CIIA, etc.

In addition, our programme will enable you to develop the interpersonal and self-leadership skills you will require in your future career.

The programme will also be an opportunity to establish an extensive network of peers and experts within Pictet and to meet members of the management, with potential short assignments to our overseas offices.

The programme is made up of different tracks to be run in the various departments of the investment platform including the following activities : investment solutions, asset experts and portfolio management.

Rotations within our partner divisions are also considered (Pictet Alternatives Advisors).

During the graduate programme you will develop strong analytical and investment skills and forge a solid network comprising the business stakeholders working for Pictet Wealth Management.

You will end your graduate programme as an investment professional, where you will use the expertise you have gained to contribute to the success of our teams.


  • Prepare investment proposals and reviews for the investment platform's mandate offerings.
  • Support investment specialists on customizing presentation materials or investment proposals, and portfolio reviews to help in supporting sales and servicing activities.
  • Liaise with head office investment solutions and investment teams to produce special solutions.
  • Support the Asset experts on preparation of investment recommendations for advisory publications and presentations at the Asia Investment Meetings.
  • Assist experts in preparing portfolio review and investment proposals.
  • Participate in strategic projects / initiatives as assigned by supervisor.
  • Your profile

  • Master’s in Finance, Economics or Science from a top business school or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least six months' experience and less than two years’ experience in a banking, consulting, investment, portfolio management or another investment-led role in financial services (internships, temporary roles, etc.).
  • Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel. Programming skills would be a strong plus (such as VBA).
  • Results-oriented and highly numerate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English. International exposure, either in a work-related, academic or personal context.
  • Chinese Mandarin is desired.
  • Strong involvement in extracurricular activities contributing to specifics projects (academic, humanitarian, etc.) is highly appreciated.
  • Reporting to : Senior Investment Specialist

    As the successful candidate you will combine strong technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work across silos.

    You will also be self-motivated, able to work easily on your own and extremely diligent, as well as showing a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    In addition, you will be able to build strong working relationships with all business stakeholders.
