Your role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Assistant to work within our Hong Kong Technology Team. The role, whilst varied, will see you providing assistance to the IT Support Analyst Lead to deliver professional and timely support for a variety of technology issues.

This role will also see you providing both training and desktop support tasks for our Greater China offices, and include (but not limited to) :

  • providing training and technical support for Technology applications and solutions.
  • delivering training and induction programs that assist in improving local office knowledge, skills and understanding of technology policies, solutions and applications.
  • providing proactive second level desktop support in a professional and timely manner.
  • identifying re-occurring support issues and contribute to problem resolution
  • escalating calls to other technology groups as appropriate, ensuring all necessary information is documented
  • communicating technology information to the business using agreed templates and protocols
  • explaining technology policies and procedures to clients where necessary
  • What you need

    To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following :

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • demonstrated technical training including the achievement of at least one technical certification
  • network administration experience including creating user accounts and groups, changing passwords, changing security levels
  • experience in setting up and troubleshooting remote access via Citrix / RSA administration
  • basic understanding of Cisco VoIP and mobile technology
  • a strong, proactive client service focus
  • ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
