Overview of the job

Wavemaker Hong Kong is looking for a Paid Search Manager to join our energetic team. This role is to play a key role in ensuring our clients’ paid search activities run smoothly servicing across a set of client business groups.

It requires running the day to day paid search activities from tactical planning through to development of strategy, working lock step with the search director and other junior support staff to drive performance and fully support our fast growing and demanding client.

This is a new role as we are growing very quickly due to increased opportunities with this client.

    In one month, you will have :

  • Gain trust of client in delivering day to day campaigns
  • Understand the structure of the client’s business
  • In three months, you would have :

    Is regularly in client meetings to build relationships

    Is creating insightful reports that take our standards of work a level up

    Known for attention to detail, accuracy and not dropping the ball on clients

    In six months, you would have :

    make unique ground-breaking recommendations

    Deliver a thought piece to our clients on an trend on social or search

    In 12 months, you would have :

    Submission of a case study (either internally or externally)

    What your day job looks like at Wavemaker :

  • Deliver paid search recommendations and proposals that are consistently backed up with sound insights, research and historical data
  • Monitoring campaign performance and pacing and conduct performance analyses on a regular basis, using a data driven approach to optimize campaigns
  • Support paid search campaigns across specific BGs that the team covers
  • Cultivating the day to day client relationship, through in-person meetings, presentations, and frequent contact
  • Train your team members for basic paid search and data analytics’ skill
  • Regularly liaising with the main search platforms (e.g. Google, Bing) to ensure we are constantly updating clients on their latest products and services
  • Presence at client meeting as channel expert and authority
  • Ensure appropriate financial and acceptance requirements are delivered
  • Accurate completion of campaign reconciliation.
  • Effective use of industry planning tools working together with strategy and the account team on strategy documents.
  • Support in building training and workshop materials for clients
  • Client Management :

  • Ensuring delivery of clients’ implementation plans on time where possible but also managing client expectations by pushing back on unrealistic expectations where appropriate.
  • Presence at client meetings
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years, in paid search marketing (PPC / SEM).
  • Mandarin & English working proficiency.
  • Regional or global experience preferable but not mandatory.
  • Detail-minded and highly organized person who can manage close working relationship with clients and global digital media owners.
