We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Technical Product Management .

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the long-term API product development approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes
  • Promote and take accountability for project quality and identify opportunities to improve delivery such as driving the API performance enhancement and deployment strategy to support seamless customer experience
  • Manage communications and relationships with IT and business stakeholders
  • Ensure technical product delivery and is in high quality and within budget
  • Work with product owner & team to ensure that the lead time to deploy changes is continuously improving and service levels are maintained within the DevOps team
  • Participate as part of the DevOps leadership team in ensuring consistent process, practice, and test au-tomation is maintained across the DevOps team
  • Provide management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider product long-term development objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project or programme leadership and committees as appropriate and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
  • Manage team activities which include people management, performance management and professional development
  • Requirements

  • Extensive IT management and delivery experience within Financial Services, Software product
  • Experienced in hands on’ IT delivery including end to end infrastructure upgrade and managing application impacts
  • Proven experience of working in large, complex programmes across multiple streams and geographies
  • Experience of differing governance models including Agile
  • Experience working within an Agile / DevOps environment
  • Experience working on REST API product in financial and banking industry
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following languages : Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, Scala
  • Experience working in cloud platform delivery
  • Full change management including IT project management, planning, budgeting, risk management, governance
  • Executive communications, presentations and reporting
  • Team leadership (virtual and directs), working across global teams in different locations
  • Strong team player, volunteer
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and fast learner
  • Appetite and desire to initiate change and execute strategy
  • Cultivates a collaborative and cooperative attitude
  • An appreciation and respect for local cultures, and ability to both influence and work effectively with them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable with both detailed reporting and executive communications
  • Excellent organisational skills - able to efficiently manage multiple workstreams when working under pressure
  • Qualification in related business / technology disciplines is an advantage
  • To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Hong Kong is required.
