Department Description

The WPFH(Workplace & Personal Financial Health) / ISS (Investment Services and Solutions) Business Management team currently provide central support for the global WPFH and ISS business areas, working closely with the Legal Entity CEO’s, Senior Leadership Team and the respective channel business managers.

Responsibilities include data analysis, production of Quarterly Business Reviews, facilitating business governance meetings, preparation of board reports and senior leadership team support.

In addition, the team provides both portfolio PMO support for the WPFH Business Change Teams as well as direct PMO support for critical initiatives.

Purpose of your role

The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Business Management and CAO APAC with the effective management of outsourcing arrangements across all Fidelity legal entities globally, with a specific focus on intragroup arrangements and the management & maintenance of Management Responsibility & Business Activity Maps.

This will include ensuring a central inventory of all legal entity activity exists, management of all central documents related to intragroup arrangements, as well as ensuring master service agreements, SLA’s and other processes are in place to manage intragroup arrangements against respective regulatory requirements.

The role will also include reviewing and analysing documentation, preparation of briefing notes and reports, development of MI and background research on associated matters.

The role holder will work closely across all functions and entities within Fidelity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of the intragroup outsourcing and global governance Target Operating Model, procedures and templates
  • Arrange for all the baselined Management Responsibility Maps (MRMs) and Business Activity Maps (BAMs) maintained by the central team to be presented to the relevant regional entity boards for ongoing review and sign off
  • Operationalize the updating of the regional MRMs / BAMs in conjunction with the central outsourcing governance oversight team, legal entities / Co-Sec / Business Change etc.
  • Support a rolling programme of activity whereby these artefacts can be maintained and presented to the legal entity boards on a twice-yearly basis
  • Provide support to the regional legal entities where required
  • Own the local governance and oversight activity relating to both the Intragroup Material Outsourcing Activities (IMOA) and Global Governance Rollout (GGR) e.
  • g. (chair stakeholder meetings, arrange and manage the schedule for ongoing review of activities prior to presentation to the boards, etc)

  • Support the development of a scalable reporting strategy and drive efficiencies in the process (e.g. assist in the assessment of systems and automation)
  • Support the implementation of a robust document management methodology and versioning control so that MRMs / BAMs for any point in time’ are available to regulators / governing bodies
  • Ensuring any regional changes in Business Activity Maps are reflected into the Central Inventory.
  • Ensuring the central intragroup outsourcing governance team are aware of any additional regional activities which may need to be assessed under the Intragroup Outsourcing Framework and provide local support for this activity e.
  • g. the introduction of new services requiring Criticality Assessments, Due Diligence Reviews, Statement of Works, etc.

  • Regularly review and enhance intragroup outsourcing policies, processes and procedures
  • Contribute to a proactive and open culture adopted across the business
  • Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment associated to intercompany arrangements
  • Experience of implementing processes and controls that support adherence to governance policy & regulations
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to work under pressure
  • Self-starter demonstrating good initiative, ability to challenge ways of working and adaptable to change
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office and data analysis applications, including PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong numeracy and written presentation skills
  • Business implementation and / or change management
