The Job
Key responsibilities areas :
Identify areas of improvement and drive best practices
Build new features across our Web, Mobile and marketing site. You will work on every platform and own the full funnel. It's ok if you don't know all of this right away!
Work on meaningful projects that allow for new and existing users to have a more delightful user experience
Architect elegant and maintainable code with a focus on autonomy and support from the team
Work with design, data, and community teams to build meaningful additions to the app that help users be more successful in representing who they are, connecting with other developers, and finding new opportunities.
Key Competencies :
5+ years industry experience
Solid engineering and coding skills. Understanding of basic data structures and asynchronous programming
Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
We're a multi-platform team, so it's important to have a solid understanding of the development frameworks and fundamentals of one or more of our platforms : Web (React, TypeScript, NextJs), Flutter (Dart).
Strong familiarity with the AWS platform. (S3, EC2, Elasticcache, API gateway, to name a few, you don’t have to be familiar with all!)
Worked on a large scale application, and knows how to upscale a product.
We don't expect everyone to be an expert in all of these, and everyone has their specialties, but the more platforms you're comfortable with (or want to learn!), the faster we can move.
Experience building and shipping product features. We do far more than build landing pages
Experience building for experimentation, iteration, and driving metrics.
Experience working cross-functionally; particularly with community, marketing, and data teams
Hunger to have an impact on our business
Ability to speak and write fluently.
Love to code
Self- awareness, a positive attitude, a sense of humour, and empathy
Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience (preferred)
