The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types,including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical,operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatorycompliance, market and reputation risks.

All parts of the Global Risk team usetheir skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and thosethey see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainablegrowth.

We are currently seeking a highcaliber professional to join our team as SeniorTraded Risk Control Manager .

Principal responsibilities

Leads, shapes and directs the roll out of global counterparty credit and market risk systems in Asia Pacific regions.

Responsible for the implementation of major changes on risk systems and processes to support the regulatory changes and business strategies in Global Markets.

Leadership, mentoring and enabling a team of change professionals ensuring successful delivery of the projects.

Works with regional and group risk stakeholders as well as the Asia business to define and agree the risk system requirements.

Manages and runs projects effectively and follows the Group business transformation framework.

Drives projects progress against plans. Understands, challenges and proactively manages the cost position, and acts to mitigate potential cost or time delays.

Engages with a diverse group of senior stakeholders to influence strategic direction of key projects to meet business goals and support benefits realization.


Solid working experience in Global Markets environment, with relevant exposure in the risk industry an advantage.

Strong communicator both verbal and written with a comprehensive understanding of content and context.

Solid project or programme management skills.

Able to prioritize and manage conflicting demands with strong problem solving skills

Strategic mindset, and able to articulate a challenging strategic vision and motivate people to achieve this.

Manage stakeholders proactively with good negotiation and influencing skills.

Self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability. Able to work independently and perform under pressure.

Positive, dynamic and resilient individual, open to change and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
