We strive to maintain a secure environment to ensure the smooth operation of the Club’s business, and uphold honesty and fairness to help to protect horse racing in Hong Kong.
Project-manage and coordinate all work streams of the Asian Racing Federation’s Anti-Illegal Betting and Financial Crime Council dedicated to raising stakeholder awareness of illegal betting and related financial crime, including documenting agreed actions, deliverables, timelines, milestones, and following up with responsible action owners
Assist in managing all procurement exercises related to the work of the Council, including requests for proposals / quotations, serving as the contact point for the vendor, and keeping track of progress to ensure work is delivered on budget and time
Organize regular secretariat and Council meetings, including preparing all agendas in consultation with the Council Chair and Secretary, creating and circulating briefing slides, minutes and other meeting materials, and holds all parties responsible for deliverables
Plan and event-manage local and overseas conferences hosted by the Council and / or international partners including Annual Council Meeting and Council events held during the biennial Asian Racing Conference.
Involves diary planning, agenda setting, and logistical arrangements such as complex travel and accommodation planning for Council members and invited guests, conference venue booking, managing Council presentations
Conduct independent general research to support the Council’s research goals and as directed by the Council Secretary
Assist Council Secretary to produce materials such as reports, presentation slides for ARF Executive Council and other stakeholders as required
Manage the Council’s membership database to ensure that it is updated on a regular basis. Assists the Council Secretary, Deputy Chairman and Chairman to develop and expand the Council’s membership database to increase the Council’s geographical reach
Manage the Council’s electronic library of papers, reports, bulletins and other materials and ensures appropriate organisation and version control is in place
Coordinate with the Asian Racing Federation Secretariat on a regular basis to ensure that the necessary materials such as bulletins, reports, and other press releases are uploaded onto the Asian Racing Federation Website.
You should have
At least four years’ experience managing corporate secretarial and / or administrative duties at a major international organisation and / or for senior executives
A degree in a field demonstrating such skills such as communications, economics, law, marketing, business administration Proven ability in project or event organisation and communication with senior professionals with global backgrounds;
Exceptional inter-personal skills and emotional intelligence
Good experience in all Microsoft Office software; Mailchimp; website content management systems
The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, and identify new technologies to improve
Good English level; knowledge of international sports, racing and betting industries, is an advantage but not required.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
