The Solutions & Product Development Team ( SPD ) is focused on delivering high impact product initiatives. The team works in conjunction with the Cross Asset cash & derivatives Trading, Cross Asset Sales and Managed Solutions leadership team, and partners closely with the Investment business, legal, risk management, compliance, controls, operations, technology to achieve & support the following agenda :

Investment management products and services is a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including discretionary portfolios and regulated fund wrappers.
The Associate, Asia Solutions & Product Development (Discretionary & Funds) will be based in Hong Kong and reports to the Head of Asia Solutions Product Development.
The role encompasses both product management and product development activities for discretionary services (multi-asset portfolios and separately managed accounts) and funds (hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds and exchange traded funds) in Asia.
The role will also partner closely with the International Private Bank ( IPB ) Discretionary Product Development as well the International Funds Product Management teams for global and / or IPB-wide initiatives.
Provide product management support to the Discretionary & Funds business in Asia
Support ad-hoc product enquiries mainly from the Managed Solutions team and Investors on bespoke client needs
Collaborate with the IPB Discretionary Product Development and Funds Product Management teams to drive new product development of discretionary portfolios and fund solutions through prioritization, design, development and launch, working across all functions of the Private Bank where necessary
Support the prioritization of Asia-specific initiatives amongst the existing global pipeline by assessing feasibility and understanding commercial viability.
Develop and manage product implementation plans; provide regular updates for senior management on implementation status, benefits and / or issues to the business
Provide subject matter expertise to support process improvement, product modifications and implementation of changes rising from significant industry, business or regulatory changes
Act as an escalation point when coordinating across the diverse perspectives of legal, risk, compliance, operations and investments to successfully bring the product to market
Liaise with local stakeholders and communicate Asia-specific issues within the global organization
Proactively identify potential risks and control gaps and own action plans to remediate those
Own and maintain Discretionary & Funds processes and procedures
Adhere to best practices and governance practices, including new business initiative approval procedures and risk identification

Ability to identify and question implied assumptions, and exploit faulty assumptions to improve processes and systems
4+ years of experience within Private Wealth Management or Asset Management from product management, product development / implementation, process re-engineering or business management perspectives
Project Management experience, with the ability to manage, organize, and control activities of complex projects to ensure timely and successful delivery
Familiarity with product features and regulatory landscape for discretionary services and funds (mutual funds, ETFs, alternatives etc.)
Good understanding of investment management products and services offerings and business models across the Asia private banking market
Fluent in English a must. Other Asian languages such as Cantonese and / or Mandarin a bonus
