Be part of the APAC COO Regional Governance and Business Management team working closely across many business and functional areas to assist the Asia Pacific COO team in delivering the region's strategy and overseeing the region's governance frameworks and business operating environments.
The role requires strong coordination and partnership with business groups and shared service functions across the platform with a solid finance background and a strong interest with working with financial data, reporting and improving business efficiency
This position requires strong organizational and functional skills to support and manage the execution of various programs within the Regional Governance and Business Management team and partner with many colleagues from various parts of the organization within the region and across the globe.
The candidate must also possess good program management, financial, analytical, and communication (both written and verbal) skills as well as have a detailed eye.
Be part of the APAC COO office and support the Asia Pacific COO and regional leaders to drive the execution and implementation of financial and governance related processes and initiatives.
Provide end-to-end support and oversight; support the running of business administration processes
Develop and maintain performance metrics
Prepare discussion documents, presentations, reports, and dashboard for various senior leader meetings
Help develop and support financial management reporting, resource planning and reporting, budgeting & forecasting, cost review and management within the regional COO function
Support the various Business Management activities within the regional COO function
Support the development, implementation and monitoring of effective procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the enterprise.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization
Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local regulations and laws governing business operations.
Ensure that proper governance and risk management is exercised consistently across the region
Provide support to the Regional Governance and Business Managemteam on ad hoc initiatives
Partner with the various lines of business and support functions and with an enterprise mindset to ensure alignment, consistency, and maximization of shareholder value
Required Qualifications, International :
4+ years' experience in financial services; strong knowledge of Banks, the Financial Services industry and related products and services
Good understanding of the banking industry & of how change drives benefits for the organization, its customers, and other stakeholders
Experience in and / or exposure to cross-border business, operational and regulatory environment, particularly in APAC
Strong knowledge of Operational Risk & Control management & Accounting Processes; governance frameworks and requirements
Demonstrated ability to think (creatively & strategically) and communicate with exceptional analytical skills, including expertise in PowerPoint, Word, Excel modeling, combining with the ability to quickly identify and solve problems
Need for self-motivation and drive to 'take ownership' of tasks and situations; hard-working, proactive, and responsible nature, with strong desire to achieve objectives
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with appropriate prioritization, and to work independently whilst still being a team-player
Ability to influence and consult strategically across a large organization and with various levels of leadership / stakeholders.
Need to deliver within set timelines and work under pressure
Demonstrated experience in identifying / solving risk management, operational, technology and support / infrastructure issues
Fluency in spoken and written English is a necessity owing to team diversity. Mandarin language skills a plus.
