Deliveroo Hop launched in September 2021 and is Deliveroo’s speedy grocery delivery service. Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers around the world in as little as 10 minutes - from the weekly shop, to a last minute dinner party or a late night snack.

Working with trusted grocers, Deliveroo Hop promises to bring customers the very best products at lightning speed.

The team behind Deliveroo Hop are building a network of stores across Hong Kong & other markets. Each delivery store is staffed with a team who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time, with Deliveroo’s 100,000 strong rider network completing all deliveries.

The role

Deliveroo is hiring a Marketing Manager to join the Hop team, based in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Global Marketing Director, Hop, this role will be responsible for planning, developing and executing marketing activity related to Deliveroo’s dark-store grocery business.

We are seeking an experienced marketing professional who has a strategic mindset and a strong skill set for operation, project management & execution.

You will work closely with the rest of the Hop marketing team, the local Hong Kong marketing team, our in-house Creative Studio and channel experts to launch best-in-class integrated campaigns across Hong Kong and ensure Deliveroo Hop is top of mind for consumers when it comes to speedy grocery delivery.

You will have strong relationship management skills as you will also lead the marketing conversations in Hong Kong with our dark-store grocery partners.

What you’ll be doing

The Hop Marketing Manager - Hong Kong will be responsible for :

  • Planning and executing an annual calendar of campaigns, optimising for local and seasonal events, and brand building activity
  • Owning & executing the Hop site launch marketing plan across Hong Kong, ensuring we drive strong brand awareness and meet our launch targets
  • Working with the Growth Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing teams to execute market-leading retention & acquisition campaigns
  • Executing against a promotional & value strategy, working with the our grocery partners to unlock key deals locally that drive value for our customers
  • Working with our in-house Creative Studio and / or external agencies to develop integrated campaigns, and aligning with central channel experts to execute with channel-first strategies and approaches
  • Working with the Global Brand Strategy Manager to execute branded touchpoints that drive brand loyalty and engagement, and develop and execute a robust social media strategy locally
  • Working with the Hop Brand Strategy & Social media team to build activity to support campaigns
  • Aligning with the Hong Kong Marketing team on coverage, media buying and in-app merchandising to optimise customer messages and return on investment
  • Build a close relationship with the site operations team to plan tactical activity in response to trading conditions
  • Working closely with the communications team in HK to push Hop in mainstream and regional media
  • Leading on local marketing performance, sharing post campaign analysis and reporting learnings to the business
  • Requirements

    The ideal candidate will be a creative and organised marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience working in a similar role and delivering impactful campaigns, ideally at a top-performing retail / FMCG / eComm company
  • In-depth understanding of the different marketing channels and a clear view on which channels to use to activate to support business objectives
  • Outstanding organisational ability and project management experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude, happy to work autonomously
  • Creative thinker with experience in briefing, developing and approving creative platforms and campaigns
