Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Market Data Business Solutions Lead - Global Banking and Markets

Principal Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal stakeholder relationship management. Responsible for engagement with appropriate internal contacts to collate requirements, and communicate Market Data enterprise licensing and commercial guideline
  • Liaise with external data suppliers in conjunction with vendor management to understand existing enterprise licensing policies and discuss changes / issue
  • Communication with suppliers to ensure proposed licensing policies can be met without compromising HSBC’s own obligations, objectives and policies
  • Mobilise the relevant expertise within the team, the wider department and within Procurement, the business or IT to communicate project objectives and gain commitment as to what will be delivered by when
  • Chair any required project meetings and disseminate any project work to the required resource
  • Take full accountability and ownership for the successful and timely delivery of the project
  • Ensure strong networks with key stakeholders, enabling ability to execute at pace and be seen as a key influencer
  • Drive a high performance culture through effective people management activities and drive up employee engagement by taking action against agreed priorities in identified action plan
  • Regular and meaningful contributions to the team book of work
  • Proactively provide feedback to team members and coach as appropriate
  • Line management responsibility for reporting Solutions Analyst and Business Analyst, allocating objectives and ensuring appropriate teamwork across all locations
  • Requirements

  • University degree or above in Information System, Finance, Business Admin, or a related discipline
  • 9+ years’ experience, preferably with financial data management background
  • Strong knowledge of multiple asset classes, global financial markets and trading and securities operations
  • Demonstrable, directly related product / market development work experience
  • Proven background in managing well designed and polished deliverables
  • Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills, paired with the ability to tell complex strategic stories in a clear and visual manner
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across an organization, within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage and track progress of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of organization and precision
  • Ability to interact with clients in a confident manner
  • Ability to present to technical audiences commanding sufficient subject matter expertise and gravitas
  • Detail orientated with ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques to support effective business decision-making and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has the ability to co-ordinate with senior management and internal teams and different cultures across HSBC as required
  • Credibility and trust - A proven influencer who can look beyond the obvious to come up with requirements that will lead to increased productivity, new insights and value propositions
  • Recognized leadership skills, demonstrated ability to use initiative and effect change through people in a large matrix global organization
