Hong Kong Life Sciences Society aims to nurture a vibrant community where life sciences students, researchers and entrepreneurs are well-
connected with different opportunities.
Working closely with the Executive Director, the appointee is responsible for developing, launching and growing a range of learning, engagement and networking activities.
Supporting the launch of talks, networking events and internship programs
Coordinating the delivery of the above-mentioned projects and developing a membership scheme
Working closely with different organizations and key stakeholders to enable inter-disciplinary collaborations
Developing new projects to ensure that young people have the opportunity to enjoy life sciences and see its connectedness to their daily life experiences
Undertaking administrative responsibilities in managing budgets and priorities
University degree holder preferably in life / health sciences, public administration or social sciences
At least 5 years of working experience in event management, public engagement or science education
Strong co-ordinating skills, to lead projects through every stage from ideas to completion, and to manage resources effectively
Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
Prior working experience with companies, organizations or universities in Mainland China is a definite advantage though not mandatory
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager
