Senior Manager, Business Development (QMI)
Role summary :
Working closely with the MD and other team members, lead the Strategic Sales function by cultivating, growing, servicing and maintaining existing business partners as well as developing / winning new bank partnerships in order to meet the company’s MI revenue growth objectives.
Contribute to the company’s annual and three-year business plans by defining GWP targets by partner, marketing budgets and activities strategies by partner to meet the company’s growth aspirationsPrepare tactical and strategic account plans for growing business from existing partners and winning new partnersReport to stakeholders on performance against sales plans and develop remedial actions to meet plans where necessaryKeep abreast of market developments so as to position QMI to take advantage of opportunities or mitigate market risks to the business and achievement of target revenueStrategic Sales / Sales Management : Ensure utilisation of Salesforce,Preparation of Account PlansCompletion of performance reportsEstablish and maintain knowledge base, facilitate best practice sharing to ensure continued thought leadership, quality tools, and dataIncorporate customer service culture into local sales process and proceduresSupport the development of appropriate sales tools and product / service enhancementsMaintain and control the marketing expenditure / budgets on behalf of our partnersBuild and proactively maintain strong relationships with external partnerships / prospective partnerships and internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are metCollaborate with credit risk and underwriting teams to ensure the completion of sales opportunities by working within a consistent project approachPromote product, collect feedback and generate product ideas through contact with partners, industry participants and other stakeholdersBe considered a trusted adviser by our existing and prospective partners by demonstrating an ability to understand partner needs and add unique strategic value to their business, including strategic insightsInitiate and deliver marketing programmes which are valued by our partners and help grow their business Work collaboratively with Risk Management / Underwriting to on-board new partners, leading all aspects of the new partner on-boarding processAssist build the QBE brand and positive reputation in the market place, including delivery of high quality customer functions and eventsManage research and development on new business / market opportunities to provide internal stakeholders with insight to competitive landscape and future opportunitiesDevelop and maintain partner reporting which adds value to their businessWork collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver superior service outcomes for partnersAttract, select, develop, motivate, train, and retain staff with the knowledge, skill, and will to deliver excellent business outcomes and customer serviceFoster a culture that is accountability-driven through a performance management approach that aligns personal performance objectives with strategic objectives and clear career pathsDevelop and maintain an operating culture that encourages QBE essential behaviors while helping to develop QBE’s reputation within the industry as an organization that is competent, capable, smart, and responsive
