Responsible for P&L for the partnership which includes all associated tasks and activities for strategy, growth, profitability, business planning, performance management, people management etc.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the company’s annual and three year business plans by defining GWP targets by partner, marketing budgets and activities strategies by partner to meet the company’s growth aspirations
  • Prepare tactical and strategic account plans for growing business from existing partners and winning new partners
  • Report to stakeholders on performance against sales plans and develop remedial actions to meet plans where necessary
  • Keep abreast of market developments so as to position QMI to take advantage of opportunities or mitigate market risks to the business and achievement of target revenue
  • Strategic Sales / Sales Management : Ensure utilisation of Salesforce, Preparation of Account Plans, and Completion of performance reports
  • Establish and maintain knowledge base, facilitate best practice sharing to ensure continued thought leadership, quality tools, and data
  • Maintain and control the marketing expenditure / budgets on behalf of our partners
  • Build and proactively maintain strong relationships with external partnerships / prospective partnerships and internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are met
  • Collaborate with credit risk and underwriting teams to ensure the completion of sales opportunities by working within a consistent project approach
  • Promote product, collect feedback and generate product ideas through contact with partners, industry participants and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrate an ability to understand partner needs and add unique strategic value to their business, including strategic insights
  • Initiate and deliver marketing programmes which are valued by our partners and help grow their business
  • Work collaboratively with Risk Management / Underwriting to on-board new partners, leading all aspects of the new partner on-boarding process
  • Assist build the QBE brand and positive reputation in the market place, including delivery of high quality customer functions and events
  • Manage research and development on new business / market opportunities to provide internal stakeholders with insight to competitive landscape and future opportunities
  • Develop and maintain partner reporting which adds value to their business
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver superior service outcomes for partners
  • Foster a culture that is accountability-driven through a performance management approach that aligns personal performance objectives with strategic objectives and clear career paths
  • Qualifications

  • 7+ years retail banking and insurance distribution experience
  • In depth working knowledge of residential mortgage products and distribution / fulfilment processes in banks
  • Strong network in retail banking across multiple mortgage lenders
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics or Business disciplines
